Can we still get infected after being vaccinated?
Yes, there is still a possibility of getting infected after receiving the vaccine. However, this does not mean that vaccination is not effective. The vaccine significantly reduces the risk of contracting the illness and also complications from the disease.
Is the COVID 19 vaccine effective against the delta variant?
Published data currently shows that COVID-19 vaccines are still protective against the delta variant. While the delta variant is known to be more aggressive and infective, Vaccination has been found to lower your risk of getting a severe infection.
How does the COVID-19 vaccine protect us against the virus?
The COVID-19 vaccines have been shown to lower the risk of contracting the illness. Even if you do contract the illness, it reduces the risk of serious complications and hospitalization.
Will the pandemic end with vaccination?
There is no definite answer to this question. However, experts have predicted that it is possible as the vaccines still show effectiveness against the delta variant. The real challenge is to get everyone vaccinated to achieve herd immunity.
